Indigo Powder is about as old-school as natural dyes get, a deeply pigmented plant powder that's been coloring textiles and skin care blue for centuries, long before synthetic dyes existed. In soap, it brings everything from a soft, dusty sky blue to a deep denim navy depending on how much you use.

There's more than one way to work with it too. Stir it straight into your batter, steep it in hot lye water first, or infuse it into your oils over low heat, each method gives a slightly different shade, so it's worth experimenting to find your favorite.
