I love the scent. It really is smoky and leathery. This would be perfect in beard oils or balms. I purchased it to make cold process soap and it was a complete disappointment.
This fragrance oil seized my soap almost immediately after adding it. I mean it got rock hard and crumbly.
I do understand that some fragrance oils do seize but it will usually say that in the description.
My soap recipe is not complicated it’s pretty basic so I don’t think it was my ingredients. I soap at 85-90 degrees. I just don’t think that this fragrance oil is meant for cold process.
We're sorry you are disappointed! We do test the fragrances in our oil blend and usually we soap at about 70-75 degrees. We noted no acceleration with our test but as we mention on the testing notes section, recipes vary, and our test results may differ from yours! It is very helpful for other customers to read reviews of customers who have had different experiences than we did and mentioning what temp you soap at is also extremely helpful so thank you for including that!
Horrible smell nothing like leather or tobacco.
