Put as little as a teaspoon of each mica into the jar, switch it on, and the blended color appears straight away, so you can see a combination before committing a batch to it.
We use this constantly when developing our own custom colors, testing blends in small four ounce batches in the 25 cube soap mold. The Color Blender page has blending ideas to start from.
Every mixer comes with a spare jar. The jars are reusable and wash out in warm water, and the blade wipes down with a damp cloth. Color is sent at random from red, gold, blue, black and silver. It takes 3 AAA batteries, which are not included.
