Color Testing Notes

Firecracker is such a fun and vibrant red mica! In cold process soap, it shifts to a pinky-brown tone, but in resin, clear MP, and other body care products, it creates a gorgeous red with lovely pink undertones. It’s bold, bright, and easy to work with - my absolute favorite red for melt and pour projects!

Use Rate

CP Soap: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
MP Soap: .5 teaspoon per pound of soap base.

More or less can be added to achieve your desired color.

Use Notes

Many people have success with using Firecracker as red in their soaps. To achieve a great red color, use at at least 2 teaspoons per pound of oils in cold process soap. Red is the trickiest color in the spectrum for CP, and can have a tendency to fade more than any other color! We've found this color performs its best when using at lower temps. Higher temperatures may make it more pink. It's one of the most versatile colors we carry! The red is brilliantly beautiful in clear MP!
