Our candle dyes are a super concentrated formula, so you only need a few drops for bold color, typically around 3–4 drops per pound of wax for a medium shade. Start light and build up, since it's much easier to deepen a color than to lighten one once it's mixed in.

Wax type has a big effect on the final shade. Paraffin waxes tend to produce more vibrant, saturated color, while soy waxes typically come out softer and more pastel. Other factors, like additives such as stearic acid and the fragrance you use, can also shift the final result.

Yes. They're made with a natural solvent for a cleaner, greener formula, are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, and proudly made in the USA. Unlike traditional powdered dyes, they produce no dust and are virtually free of insoluble matter, so they blend smoothly and evenly. They also have a high flash point of 200°F (93°C), making them safer and more stable to work with during candle making.

Add your fragrance oil first, then color the wax while it's fully melted. Fragrance can affect how a dye reads once mixed in, so adding fragrance first helps you judge the true final color more accurately.

Not exactly. Shades shown are always approximate and can vary based on the amount of dye used, your wax type, and other additives. Colors do not separate in storage, but a light shake before use is recommended, and any faint scent in the bottle typically isn't noticeable in the finished candle. Testing a small sample and letting it fully set is the best way to confirm your true final color.
