Powdered dyes come with a hidden cost: dust that gets everywhere and clumps that never quite disappear. Amethyst Purple skips all of that. As a liquid dye virtually free of insoluble matter, it melts into wax clean and dissolves completely, leaving you with a rich, jewel toned purple and not a speck of residue behind.

Start small. A few drops build up fast, and you can always add more to deepen the shade. Keep in mind that soy wax tends to mute the tone slightly while paraffin holds onto it at full strength, so your base wax matters as much as your drop count.

It carries a high flash point of 200°F (93°C) for safer handling, uses a natural solvent, and is vegan, cruelty free, and made in the USA. One small quirk worth knowing: the bottle may carry a faint scent on its own, but it fades away once blended into a finished candle.

Note: The shades shown in the picture are approximate and can vary with the amount of dye and type of wax used. Other factors that can impact color when making candles include wax opacity, use of additives such as stearic acid, and fragrance.

Due to wax consistencies, it is common for paraffin waxes to produce vibrant colors and soy waxes to produce more pastel tones.

Liquid candle dyes may have a slight smell in the bottle that is not noticeable in finished candles. Colors do not separate in storage, but minimal shaking is recommended prior to use.
