Color Testing Notes

Electric Orange is a truly beautiful, vibrant orange mica. Like most orange micas, it can be a bit tricky to work with, but the results are so worth it! For maximum color payoff, make sure to gel your soap - this brings out a deep, rich, and vivid orange. If you skip gelling, it still produces a lovely, soft orange, just lighter and more muted.

Use Rate

CP Soap: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
MP Soap: .5 teaspoon per pound of soap base.

More or less can be added to achieve your desired color.

Use Notes

Working with any orange can be tricky with soaps. For best result with this and any orange mica, soap cool and don't let your soaps get too hot. Heat seems to have a negative effect on orange making fade or peach in color. Orange micas also need a slightly higher usage rate than other colors. For best results use 2 teaspoons per pound of oils, or even more to achieve the depth of color you like.

Wonderful Orange for my Mango Wax Melts

Wonderful color Orange for my Mango Wax Melts! The mica adds just the perfect touch for an added visual experience.

Vibrant Orange

Nurture Soap has the best micas around. Their bright and neon colors are amazing. I love using the brights in my sugar scrubs. They are always the ones that get the most attention. It makes it so much easier making products when the ingredients are top quality.

This is a great orange that holds up nicely in cpop soap.

Hmmm... kind of subtle

It’s not what I would call electric, but I still like it. If you use a small amount you might even be able to get a peachy orange. I use about 1t ppo and got the result on the top layer in pic:

I love this orange because it does not end up having a pink hue to it. It is more of a yellow orange, which I prefer.

Gorgeous!

Used this for my Orange Dream Soap in two ways. First just the normal color then a gorgeous blend I made for a deep orange using the mica blender. First time using micas from you and couldn't be more pleased. Will definatley be ordering again!

Nice bright orange

Used this in my rainbow soap and the orange colour came out nice and bright - worked well with all the other rainbow colours.
Used this at a rate of 1.5 tsp PPO to achieve a bright orange.

Great Stuff

Once again, Nurture produced a vibrant color that holds well. I didn't use too much as it was my first time trying it out, but very pleased.

Not quite sure about this color

There are so many glowing reviews on this color but I did not get same results. I received a sample. Decided to test this color in soap dough, so did not gel. Did at a rate of 1 tsp PPO. I ended up with more of a mustard yellow. Will have to retest at 2 tsp PPO in soap dough, and maybe do a regular loaf and allow to gel to see what outcome is. Top orange is another orange soap dough, middle is electric orange, and bottom is yellow mica soap dough.

Used this mica in clear melt and pour for inserts and I'm happy with how it performed. Gives a slight shimmer in clear melt and pour and a nice orange colour. Looking forward to using this in cold process

Electric orange mica

Nice bright orange, but not as bright as Eye of the Tiger! Shown here in CP using 1 t PPO. The more mellow orange is Electric orange.

Very Bright!

This is a super bright orange mica. I used it to make glow in the dark soap dough for my Halloween soap embeds and they turned out perfectly. Also used it in my main cp soap recipe.

Great Orange

The perfect orange! Used at a rate of 1 tsp PPO in picture. Other colors are Hollywood Pink, Firefly, Jade Green, Caribbean Blue, and Jan Session. All at 1 tsp PPO.

I couldn't be happier with this color, this is the PERFECT shade of orange. I use it in my CP soaps. The color is very vibrant, it doesn't fade, gets darker or lighter - This color would be awesome for fall and Halloween soaps!!
