If you’re looking for a true, bright sunny gold infused with yellow, Mimosa Mica is the one! It’s made from lab-created mica, giving it incredible brilliance and depth of color. While golds made from natural mica can sometimes look muted, this one absolutely shines. It’s hands-down the best mica for achieving a rich, vibrant gold hue.

Use Rate

CP Soap: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.

Closest to a “honey” color I’ve found yet

I’ve had trouble getting a good honey color for my Oatmeal, Milk & Honey cold process soap. This is the best so far.

BEAUTIFUL color!

I absolutely love Mimosa! It has this rich, bronze-gold color that feels like a natural, liquid gold that is not too yellow! You could probably throw in a little Firefly or Lemon and sunshine to get an extra vibrant look!

A bit translucent

I love this color tone, but on its own its a bit translucent. I have a white creamy soap base so colors usually pop, but this one seemed a bit flat. Might add a pinch of TD next time to it. Overall I would still recommend

I used less than the recommended amount and got a nice light yellow color. The picture shows it along with the Celadon Green mica from Nurture Soap too.

Shimmery Marigold

I received Mimosa mica as a free gift with an order awhile ago, and just tried it this week in my fall cp soap line. It is a wonderful creamy/shimmery marigold that looks amazing! I love this mica and will be purchasing a large bag.

Needed a Pastel Yellow in a Bind

I did not have my normal yellow, so I used this with titanium dioxide. It made the perfect pastel yellow. It hasn't faded or morphed. I also mixed it with Dark Navy Blue and Kashmir Blue to create the greens. I was out of everything, so I had to get creative :-)

Bright, Sunshiney Day!

I can't even count how many times I've had this mica in my cart but always ended up going over budget (easy for me to do here at Nurture- Too many amazing products to choose from!), so I always ended up taking it out & telling myself, "next time". "Next time" should have been a LONG time ago! This color is GORGEOUS... Jaw-dropping from the moment you unscrew the cap & see it in the jar! This is a STUNNING shade that gets you thinking, "Is it yellow? Is it gold?"... IT'S BOTH! It's a sensational golden-sunflower shade of yellow, and remains that way in CP! A lovely hue that beautifully depicts shades of yellow seen in nature! It went PERFECTLY with the fresh-outdoorsey scent of Nurture's phenomenal "Cottongrass" FO (OMG gals & guys- you HAVE to try that FO too! It is the one of the most BEAUTIFUL aromas to have EVER graced my nose!). My mica collection was not complete without this color... I've seen no other shade of yellow, gold or yellow-gold like it!
