Color Testing Notes

In cold process soap, this neon pigment softens into a rich red-pink shade that’s absolutely gorgeous. When blended with another red, like Brick Dust Mica, it can create a true, deep red hue. Just a quick note of caution - this color can migrate into neighboring colors. For best results, pair it with darker shades where any migration will be less noticeable.

Use Rate

CP Soap: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
MP Soap: .5 teaspoon per pound of soap base.

More or less can be added to achieve your desired color.

Use Notes

Neon pigments should be dispersed in a bit of your soap making oils before using in soap. If not mixed well you may get streaks or speckles! Add enough oil to the color to completely saturate and disperse it before adding it to your main soap batch.

Neon Red Pigment will fade to pink in cold process soap. It will also migrate into other colors and bleed on washcloths. In our testing, it did not stain washcloths permanently. We recommend using this color in clear melt and pour soaps for the best color retention and saturation.

Wouldn’t put it in my skin

I used this fluorescent neon red in a new white mold, it got red and can’t be cleaned anymore.

I’ve tried many others - this one is by far the most vibrant red!

Perfect color to create true reds.

I use this color to make a true red color since it comes out more pink. I also use it by itself for my watermelon soap.

Great Colorant

Neon colors are all great. this one is more pink to my eye than true red, however I blend a little neon orange to this red and it makes a perfect red. Love this color. No other colorant has achieved the vibrant color this red can make.

The perfect red for Christmas!

I have been so excited to get this Red Neon. I actually mixed it with Nurtures Candy Apple Red and feel like the two combined isjust what I was hoping for. Thank You Nurture Soap!

Bleeds in cp soap

I don’t know why no one is mentioning this, but it bleeds like crazy, especially if used next to white color cold process soap ! the color red is quite potent, and the description says it turns into pink overtime and fades… I think it is best if used for single color soap, but then not sure if I want the entire soap to be this color unless mixed with other red or brown..

If by 'bleeds' you mean it moves (aka 'migrates') into the color next to it we do mention that on the product page! It will definitely do that in CP soap and if the color next to it is white the area where to 2 merge will be pink.

Best neon I've used. Very true to color and a little goes a long way. And it sticks too. No fading. What you see is what you get.

The BEST Red!

I LOVE this red! I shy away from reds because they are usually too orange-y for me and when Christmas comes around...lets just say I dread the reds! No matter what I did my soaps end up looking like a raw steak! Until I discovered this Neon Red. I just poured my Christmas soap for this year and I am so pleased. I used Neon Red and its a beautiful blue/red. This will be my go to red from now on. Get it, you won't regret having this in your collection!

More a magenta than red

Very pretty and bright

I bought this neon red to make my neon rainbow cp soaps. Very vibrant red, I love it, it pops in my soap! Works great and delivered on time and no leaks.
