Color Testing Notes

Red Vibrance may be a little too brown to be considered a true red in cold process soap, but it’s still absolutely gorgeous. It has a sultry, sexy tone that gives it a warm richness. I especially love using it in lip products and epoxy resin, where its deep red color really shines.

Use Rate

CP Soap: 1-2 teaspoons per pound of oils.
MP Soap: .5 teaspoon per pound of soap base.

More or less can be added to achieve your desired color.

Use Notes

This is a dark red mica that is maroon in hue. For a true, bright red try our Trial by Fire Red Mica.

Brick Red

Red Vibrance is one of the first reds I bought from Nurture. I use it when I want more of a brick or rustic red in CP soap. I purchase all my micas from Nurture, I quality is impeccable.

I have been using Red Vibrance for years, and I purchase in the larger bag for refills. It creates the most stunning dark red for my men's line soaps. It does not bleed at all, its a must have!

Red Vibrance

This color comes out more of a brick or rust color and works perfectly in my rustic looking soaps

a bit of a Misnomer

My favourite colour is Marron so I LOVE Red Vibrance.

But the name is it is a bit of a Misnomer. All the other colours in the "Vibrance" line are the standard for that colour. They make a perfect rainbow. But Red Vibrance doesn't fit the bill. You need to use My Red Obsession or Trial by Fire for that.

BUT if you want a beautiful Maroon, this is the Perfect colour.
I use this in conjunction with Black raspberry Vanilla Fragrance oil, and it is Wonderful.

Here is a tip ... do an Ombre or Gradient pour.
Don't do a swirl, or you will have soap that looks like meat !!! lol

Nice color

Red wine.

This mica is a perfect wine color in soap. The picture is CPOP soap.

Kind of dark with a brown tint. Mixed with titanium dioxide, it worked good for the star centers.

Great Darker Red

This is a great dark red, maroon color. I LOVE all of the vibrance colors they have. in the picture, it's the bottom layer.
Trial by Fire is the top color.

Brick Color

I was looking for a brick color for my CP soap. Came across red vibrance and gave it a try. Overall very happy. Wanting a rusty red tone, my options are limited, but this gave my mostly what I wanted. Purchasing again.

Beautiful burgundy

This is a great Burgundy Colo. I've been looking for a color like this for a while. I used it as soon as I got it, and it worked perfectly. Love this color.

My Favorite Red

I adore Red Vibrance. It is by far my favorite red, since I love the earthy more burgundy/maroon reds. (If you're looking for bright, primary, fire-engine red, definitely go for Trial by Fire). Red Vibrance is just gorgeous for autumn and Christmas soaps. I have used in countless cold process soap designs and am always pleased with the results. I make sure to never run out of this in my inventory.

More in the brick side.

It’s a really pretty red, not like trial by fire, more like a brick red, but non the less beautiful. I can’t wait to see how my soaps turn out with this mica!

Perfect Fall Color!

This is the perfect fall color! Copper, Shimmery burnt orange...it's gorgeous. Picture is of it mixed into a donkey milk melt and pour soap base.

Rich Maroon!

Red Vibrance is epic! It is such a rich maroon red. I got this mica to make Dragons Blood fragrance soap and the color is stunning. It is also dark enough to hide the tan/brown discoloration from that fragrance, which I got from another supplier. Highly recommend this mica and will continue to purchase, Thank you!

A little goes a long way

I used 1/2 tsp of this mica colorant in my cold process soap batter, adding it to my paprika-infused olive oil & fresh strawberry puree. I also added Nurture Soap's "Sugared Strawberry" fragrance oil and swirled the batter with a fresh cream batter to create a strawberry-cream soap. I know paprika infused colorant tends to fade so it will be interesting to see the red color once the soap is fully cured (soap photo is at 3 days).

Dark Red/Maroon color

Red Vibrance Mica is not a bright red but a maroon dark red color, more like a chestnut color. It's beautiful and sits pretty well fot CP soap.

Y'all, I use this for deep, rich reds and it absolutely fills that need. I find myself trying to work red into more designs so I can keep using it! Mind, the advice about using it with a heavier hand in a previous review is spot-on, but the result I promise is worth it. Just try not to get it all over yourself on accident, you'll look wounded. Not that I did that, or anything.
