Rise & Shine Yellow Mica

I purchased Rise and Shine mica looking for a nice pastel yellow.

I have used this mica twice now. Both times it heated up my batter and accelerated trace. I had to abandon my swirls and spoon the batter into the mold. I have been making milk soap from many years now, so I am experienced. I used frozen milk cubes and soaped at around 80 degrees. I brought the batter to emulsion and added it to the mica mixed with a small amount of oil. Both times it turned Shocking Neon Orange and got quite thick. It stays shocking Orange for several days. Once it turned to yellow, it was a very bright yellow, rather than the pastel that I was expecting from the colour of the packet. I wanted the soap to look like a baby chick. People think it is a rubber duckie!

I do NOT recommend "Rise and Shine" mica.

I will stick to using "Love and Sunshine" Yellow Mica is it is my favourite and always works perfectly.

Hard to see here but I used it as a paler yellow swirl with a brighter yellow and it looks very beautiful in person, just hard to capture in a photo.

Used this mica to color my honeysuckle scented CP soap. Glad I read the reviews about the color morph, because it does turn bright orange in raw CP batter. After saponification it goes right back to a beautiful soft yellow

I love this yellow! It’s got great sparkly to it! It’s the perfect yellow when I make rainbow bath bombs!

Perfect in tropical or summer fruit soaps

I love this shade of yellow. I used it in pink sea salt bars. I used 1 teaspoon per pound of oil.
I just want to give people a heads up that it will turn orange before it turns yellow. I was rather confused about that. As soon as it finished the gel stage it turned back to yellow.

This will turn bright orange in cp as soon as you mix it in your batter BUT it will turn back to back beautiful pale yellow in 24-48 hours. I’ll include a picture of the pour and after 48 hours

I got this as a sample bag was not sure if it would work but I really like this color for my calendula soap will purchase a jar on my next order

I made lemon cold process soap using a little bit of this mica (a little goes a long way). This gave the soap a soft natural lemon yellow color. Interestingly when I added the color to the soap batter, it turned into a vibrant carrot-orange color. But after 48 hours the soap bars had reverted back to yellow. I'll definitely use this again for other lemon soap projects.

I only had to use a little bit of this mica to give my lemon soap a lovely & natural color. I mixed the mica into the "Awaken" fragrance oil and added it to my cold process batter at trace. Still waiting for the CP soap to cure and the color & fragrance are very nice.

got this as a sample - made cp goats' milk soap and added and it scared the heck out of me - so orange - i had read it would do that, but wow. and about 2 days later it is a gorgeous, soft yellow - exactly what i wanted. i will certainly buy this mica in the future. beautiful.

Paired color with other NS mica for a soft, spring themed Pear soap. Love it. Used one tsp dispersed in tbsp oil and then added to soap at trace; colored part of a 6 lb batch.

I'm always terrified when this turns orange and then delighted when it's a bright yellow by the next day. In my soaps it's taken around 20 hours for full color change so don't be scared!

The shade of orange it starts out as is really lovely though, there have been a couple soaps I almost wanted to stay orange!

Don't be afraid when this color turns orange!!! The orange soap turns a gorgeous yellow, nice and bright!!

Hey, I'll tell you right now.. don't be afraid when this morphs into orange. I have gotten used to this, but each time I still pray it turns out right.. and it does.. this is a 3:1 ratio of Rose and Shine with Full Throttle(it all I had on hand)

Is faint, but for my project is good. Went is hot the color is orange and the change to a lovely yellow.

I had fun using Rise & Shine yellow because while going through saponification it went from orange into yellow like the rising sun. The mica turned into a beautiful yellow. You’ll have fun with this one & not be disappointed😇

This yellow is perfect!! It's cheerful, light, yet bright... Just as its name conveys! It's the perfect yellow for sunshiny themes, or anything you want to add a dash of happiness to! As anticipated, this quaint & pretty shade did initially turn my soap batter orange (a rather stunning orange actually! One I wouldn't have been disappointed about if it had stayed around!), but once saponification was complete, it went right back to being the happy-go-lucky yellow that it is! I placed my batch on top of a heating pad for a little bit while insulated (I turned the low heat off after about a half hour), and the results I got were wonderfully bright! I think this would be an excellent color for those who enjoy CPOP-ing their soap batches, but any way around it, it's a BEAUTIFUL shade! I absolutely recommend this mica! It's a unique staple in my collection of yellow micas & I'll definitely continue to repurchase it!

This yellow is out of this world!! I made some Avobath type scented soap and the smell with what I named my soap is spot on... Wake Up. This gorgeous mica will be kept on hand at all times!!

Really pleased with the color. Was exactly what I was looking for!
