About this mold
The same lid fits this set, the 15 lb Double Premium and the 22.5 lb Triple Premium, so one spare covers any of the three.
With the lid in place the soap is sealed from the air as it gels, which is the main way soda ash is kept off the top, and the clear plastic lets the gel be checked without that seal being broken. Once the soap is set, the sides of the box come away from the liner rather than the loaf being pushed out of it.
