About this mold
This set has a lid of its own, the 7.5 lb Premium Handle Tall Skinny Mold Lid, which is not the same part as the lid used on the standard 7.5 lb Premium Handle Soap Mold.
The lid seals the soap from the air while it gels, which is the main way soda ash is kept off the top, and it is clear so the gel phase can be checked without opening it. The liner lifts out by its handles, so the sides of this box do not come off, and its lip folds over the top edge to keep the wood clean.
