Use Rate

CP Soap: Lakes are not recommended for CP soap. They tend to morph, migrate into other colors, and bleed.
MP & Liquid Soap: Lakes can be premixed in glycerin then added to liquid and melt & pour soaps. be sure to mix very well or you may end up with colored powder speckles in your soap!
Bath Bombs: Lakes don't need to be bloomed like dyes do and they're super easy to use! Only a small amount is needed. We recommend using a .15cc mini scoop and add color slowly until you reach your desired shade. you may also premix the lake in a small amount of glycerin before adding to your bath bomb mix to prevent speckling.

Use Polysorbate 80! Polysorbate 80 should be used with lakes at half your oils to prevent a ring around the tub or staining. For example, if your oils = 3 teaspoons use 1.5 teaspoons of polysorbate 80.

Use Notes

The powder in the jar may look different than you expect! Dyes need to be added to water to turn into their true color.

Lakes are very concentrated! A little goes a very long way. They can stain hands, counter tops, or anything it touches. Wear gloves and protect all work surfaces.

Blue is satisfying

I just tested the blue lake for my experiment. The vibrant colour, colours the bubbles! I am gonna buy more from nurture soap 😍

Perfect when paired with dye!

I use this in my bath bombs with my blue 1 water soluble dye and it makes the most beautiful blue water!

Perfect Royal blue 💙

This is very easily mixed with yellow 5 to make green or red 40 to make purple. You can also lighten it up with titanium dioxide.

This color is perfect. The blue is a truely beautiful color. A little bit goes a long way. I used 1/2 tsp whereas I needed 3 tsp of my mica in the same amount of my bath bomb batch.

Gorgeous blue for bath bombs!

I have been searching for a great blue for bath bombs - and this is it! I'm so glad I bought 2 jars. I used very little in my 2100g batch (around 1/4 teaspoon) and got this beautiful blue from it. Just add a little more if you want it darker. I'm very pleased!

Awesome color

Purchased this to use in a bath bomb custom order. I had never used lakes before, but this was really easy to use. I used 1/4 tsp per pound of my mix recipe, and I added it to my poly80/oil/FO liquids. The bombs turned out the most beautiful "royal blue" color! My customer was very happy with the color.

Love all the lakes at Nurture!!

I had to buy some elsewhere when they were out and I was disappointed. These are the best for bath bombs! I only use Nurture Lakes in my bath bombs!

I love being able to use a dry ingredient to color my bath bombs. It makes the process much easier and is more efficient than having to bloom a dye and wait for the baking soda to dry out. This powder works really well. It is very pigmented so a little tiny scoop will go a long way!
