Color Testing Notes

Starry Night is a deep, captivating blue filled with tiny blue sparkles that give it a beautiful, celestial glow. In cold process soap, the sparkle softens a bit, but it still creates a rich, elegant dark blue that’s absolutely gorgeous. For maximum shimmer, it really shines in clear mediums like clear melt and pour or epoxy resin.

Use Rate

CP Soap: 3 teaspoons per pound of oils.
MP Soap: .5 teaspoon per pound of soap base.

More or less can be added to achieve your desired color.

Use Notes

Mica-based glitters are the only glitter we have found that can add sparkle to cold process soaps! They need to be used at about 3 teaspoons per pound of oils to achieve a sparkle effect. They can also be used with bath bombs to add fine glittery effect to the water.

Starry Night!

I love this glitter- it made a beautiful accent color in my cold process soap. I used CPOP to make it more vibrant, and it still sparkles. Also pictured with Cabaret, which I got as a sample. Love these micas!

Truly sparkly blue

I used it at a 1/4 tsp (very little) for the light blue on this soap, but also on top as accent, where it truly shines

Pretty shimmery blue

This color is very pretty, I used it layered with drak navy blue and it turned out so nice! I also used it mixed with oil and drizzled on top of a dark bar, it gives an amazing effect! I definitely recommend this color :)

Glamorous!!

There's no doubt about it, I'm hopelessly addicted to Nurture Soap's eco-friendly, biodegradable glitters! There's not been a single one that doesn't look amazing when dusted on top of my CP soaps! Starry night is no exception! It's a deep, majestic shade of blue with a gorgeous metallic-like sheen & multifaceted shimmer! It's so gorgeously fine, so a little goes a long way when adding some serious eye-catching brilliance to crafty creations! When caught in the light, I can even see gorgeous glimmers of teal, glistening from beneath its royal blue hue! I think in every review I've written for one of Nurture's fabulous Enviroglitters, I've mentioned how unfortunate it is that it's impossible to convey in a picture just how stunning they are in person. Well... I was taking a picture of a batch of soap I made earlier and noticed that in one tiny spot of the picture, the lighting was just right to capture what this glitter looks like on top of my soap! I've marked it here in this picture, but that's what the ENTIRE loaf looks like in person!! From one angle, deep blue sparkle blankets the top, but then from another, it's set ablaze with those brilliant flashes of metallic teal!! It's just a small glimpse of how truly stunning this glitter is, as in the flesh, it's a flashy display of multi-color shimmer & shine and it's positively glamorous!

Maybe I'm not using enough?

This glitter is beautiful in the bag but I don't really see it in my final bar. I might not be using enough but the Super Sparkle I get shows up in all soaps. Will keep trying as it is too pretty to give up on.
