Reviews
great scent. no discoloration and perfect for those blues and whites for christmas soap
I love this spicy and sweet scent in my cp soap!
This is my go to christmas scent
This one started out as a Christmas soap but my customers like it so much we sell it year-round. Smells like a walk in the woods!
That is what the label on the bottle says.
Nowhere on the website's description of this product does it say anything about not using this FO in cold process soap. In fact, there is a picture of "Winter Wonderland Fragrance Oil in Cold Process Soap" and the testing notes describe the results of using this FO in cold process soap.
I haven't used this product yet and just noticed the alert on the label. I'm giving this two stars initially because of the contradiction between the website info and the bottle info. And I'm putting this in the review section 1) so somewhere on the website there will be a record of this FO being "not recommended" for CP soap so people can see that before they buy this for CP soap, and 2) hoping that the Nurture Soap person or people looking at this will respond with an explanation.
Obviously it must be OK to use in CP soap because Nurture Soap tested it as such, and many people have used it as such. So why put that disclaimer on the bottle?
With the new IFRA 50 revisions, this fragrance has a low use rate in Catergory 9 (soap). We offered this fragrance long before the IFRA 50 revision. IFRA 48 use for category 9 was 9.9% as can be seen here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1290/7115/files/winter_wonderland_ifra_48.pdf?v=1658844205 Because it was historically used in soap without causing harm at the IFRA 48 rate for years, we have decided to offer this fragrance without reformulation to those who may still desire to use it. Reformulation would drastically alter the smell and performance. IFRA is a guideline and not a law. For someone to use it or not is their decision. However, we will provide the information needed as to make that choice.
I really, really don't like pine. However, Winter Wonderland is one I can use because of the other notes that help tone it down. The fruit and spice notes mellow out the pine (imho). It is my mom's favorite one!
I used Force of Nature and some silver glitter.
A pleasant smell.
