Use Rate

CP Soap: Lakes are not recommended for CP soap. They tend to morph, migrate into other colors, and bleed.
MP & Liquid Soap: Lakes can be premixed in glycerin then added to liquid and melt & pour soaps. be sure to mix very well or you may end up with colored powder speckles in your soap!
Bath Bombs: Lakes don't need to be bloomed like dyes do and they're super easy to use! Only a small amount is needed. We recommend using a .15cc mini scoop and add color slowly until you reach your desired shade. you may also premix the lake in a small amount of glycerin before adding to your bath bomb mix to prevent speckling.

Use Polysorbate 80! Polysorbate 80 should be used with lakes at half your oils to prevent a ring around the tub or staining. For example, if your oils = 3 teaspoons use 1.5 teaspoons of polysorbate 80.

Use Notes

The powder in the jar may look different than you expect! Dyes need to be added to water to turn into their true color.

Lakes are very concentrated! A little goes a very long way. They can stain hands, counter tops, or anything it touches. Wear gloves and protect all work surfaces.

Beautiful Bubble Gum Pink

Any bath bomb that i make using this color becomes a top seller. These lake powders are easy to use and have the most beautiful colors. Lake 27 is my absolute favorite.

I ordered blue 1, red 27 and yellow 5 and I’m blown away. The colors are so vibrant. I only used a teaspoon for my bath bombs and wow. They created such a beautiful rich color in the water. Very happy and definitely will order again!

A little goes a long way with these lakes! I achieved the gorgeous pink color seen in the photo with a small amount (less than one quarter-teaspoon) of Red 27. I am very pleased with the lake's performance in my bath bombs, and it was so easy to use; just add the powder to the dry bath bomb mix, and blend it in (I do it by hand). No need to bloom in water! I also got a very pretty soft lavender color for my lavender-scented bath bombs by blending equal parts Red 27 and Blue 1 Certified Lake Powder. These lakes are now a staple for my bath bombs - thank you, Nurture Soap!

A little goes a long way for this lake in your bath bombs. Usually I use Micas with some polysorbate 80 and have had no problems. I was happily surprised with this Lake color as I got the same vibrancy I get with Micas! So beautiful!
