About this color

Red 40 Batch Certified Dye Powder leans warm, landing on a vibrant, orange tinted red rather than a straight true red. At a 90% dye load, it's one of the more concentrated dyes in the lineup, so it dissolves into water with serious color strength behind it.

Use it in bath bombs or clear melt and pour soap bases for long lasting brilliance that holds its warm, radiant tone from first mix to final rinse.

How To Bloom Dyes

Use Rate

CP Soap: Dyes are not recommended for CP soap. They tend to morph, migrate into other colors, and bleed.

MP Soap: Dyes are absolutely wonderful for use in melt & pour and liquid soaps. Dilute the dye with a bit of water then add to your soap.

Bath Bombs: Dyes are best when bloomed before adding to your bath bomb recipe. Blooming means to dissolve a bit of dye in water first, then add to the baking soda that goes in your bath bomb mix.
